Aeolus is a small, productive AVA vineyard property seated at the eastern base of Willamette Valley's Eola-Amity Hills. Vine rows rest on a gentle slope with north-south orientation. Our vines are an average 18 years of age, planted on phylloxera-resistant rootstock. Aeolus is carefully farmed using organic techniques, with the objective of eventually attaining organic certification. Our vineyard takes pride in being amongst the first to plant Tempranillo vines in the Valley. Aeolus takes its name from the Greek God of Wind, who regularly unleashes his influence in this stretch of the Valley. Recent harvests have supplied high quality Pinot Noir and Tempranillo fruit to both Stangeland Vineyards and Landmass Wines.
Vineyard management is provided by our friends at Arguelles Vineyard Services, LLC.
